Hi, my name is S.M. and I was convicted of Conspiracy To Commit Bank Fraud in 2016 and I was sentenced to serve 1 year and a day.

I would like to start my story with a little story:

A Man was stuck on his rooftop in a flood. He was praying to God for help.

Soon a man in a rowboat came by and the fellow shouted to the man on the roof, “Jump in, I can save you.”

The stranded fellow shouted back, “No, it’s OK, I’m praying to God and he is going to save me.”

So the rowboat went on.

Then a motorboat came by. “The fellow in the motorboat shouted, “Jump in, I can save you.”

To this the stranded man said, “No thanks, I’m praying to God and he is going to save me. I have faith.” So the motorboat went on.

Then a helicopter came by and the pilot shouted down, “Grab this rope and I will lift you to safety.”

To this the stranded man again replied, “No thanks, I’m praying to God and he is going to save me. I have faith.”

So the helicopter reluctantly flew away.

Soon the water rose above the rooftop and the man drowned. He went to Heaven. He finally got his chance to discuss this whole situation with God, at which point he exclaimed, “I had faith in you but you didn’t save me, you let me drown. I don’t understand why!” To this God replied, “I sent you a rowboat and a motorboat and a helicopter, what more did you expect?”

At the time of my sentencing I had a 100k hot shot attorney from Manhattan, New York. I thought that he was doing a good job with my very very limited knowledge of the law from YouTube and Google but later I learned that my attorney didn’t have my best interest at heart. I served my full sentence at MVCC and after I was transferred to PCCF where I spent the next 2 years fitting for my freedom, my freedom to be with my 4 children and not get deported. I hired 3 other attorneys who just took my money and didn’t put any effort into my case.

In 2018 I was fortunate enough to meet Chris Rad, a fellow inmate who changed my life forever. He listened to my story and without me asking he asked me to take a look at my court transcripts. At this time I was out of options, I mean I exhausted all my money and my emotions. I went through 4 attorneys. Even though I knew in my heart that I was an innocent man but I had no one to fight my battle for me, every attorney I ever hired just filled their pockets and left me to waist away at PCCF immigration holding. Only thing that stopped me from giving up and taking the deportation was my wife at the time and our children. They came to visit me every weekend no matter how bad the weather or how long the drive took, I could never thank her enough for her dedication and her kindness through those dark days. I was getting pressured by ICE to take deportation, at times they cussed and yelled at me but I had no choice but to take the abuse because they had all the power. I owe my life to Christopher Rad for his amazing work that did to win my case, he cared for me and that was one thing that I couldn’t get from all of the other high paid attorneys. He took care of all my briefs and he answered and challenged The BIA as well as The Third Circuit. For the first time in 3 years I felt that I was finally going to be free, free to live in the US with my wife and the kids and I don’t know if I said this before but I really do owe everything to Chris for his kindness, It’s patient his ability to sit on the law library computer looking at similar cases to my day after day after day. He is truly amazing at reading and understanding the Law and finding ways to implement it in a case. Chris didn’t just help me at the time, he helped many fellow inmates beat their case. ICE eventually did deport me without the Judge's order, 1st time I refused to get on the plane and the second time they just put me in a private jet and literally dropped me of it the Airport tarmac without any documents at hand, I couldn’t even clear customs because I didn’t have any proof that I was even a citizen because I left my homeland 30 years ago and never looked back let alone speak the language. Eventually I was able to get settled and wait out the remainder of time until the decision came from the Immigration Judge. During this Chris communicated with me every week and always reassured me that I will win my case. On December 04, 2020 I received The Judge’s ORDERS and it said:

-IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that the charge of removability pursuant to section237(a)(2)(A)iii) for a Crime under INA $ 101 (a)(43XU) is NOT SUSTAINED;

-IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the charge of removability pursuant to section 237(a)(2XA)(iii) for a Crime under INA $ 101 (a)(43) (M) is NOT SUSTAINED;

-IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the Respondent's Motion to Terminate be GRANTED:

-IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the Respondent's removal proceedings be TERMINATED.

On December 4. 2020 U.S. IMMIGRATION JUDGE JOHN B. CARLE.

I am still fighting for my travel documents to get back to the states and I know in due time I will be back with my children as God has intended. Thank you Christopher Rad, I truly believe that you are the person that God has worked through to save me…I owe you more than I can ever repay.

My name is Mohammad and I went to prison for a fraud case, I did 23.5 with good time but originally was handed down 27 months in the Feds and when I was leaving the prison had no hope of ever staying in the US. My family had talked to numerous Immigration lawyers and they all told us that I’ve got no chance of staying in the US. So at that time, I made up my mind that when I get to ICE facility I’m just going to sign papers and get deported back to Pakistan even though I’ve been in the US for many years and all of my siblings are US citizens and I have no clue of how anything works in Pakistan and don’t even consider it my home but my biggest mistake was I never applied for US citizenship when I could have.

So when I went to ICE facility I had to go to Immigration Court in a couple of weeks. So on my ordered date I went and saw the IJ and he deported me back to Pakistan and gave a Removal Order at the end of the final hearing. At the end of the hearing, the IJ asked if I’m satisfied with the court's decision or not and I told him I’m going to appeal his decision. Now I needed to write a brief and had no idea of how to do it. While being in the ICE facility I meet with Mr. Patel who had met Chris in another facility in Pennsylvania and he told me about him without wasting any time my family reached out to Chris and he got on my case right away. He wrote my brief and submitted it to the immigration court. Ever since he has submitted numerous motions and briefs to the Immigration courts and he has always met with the timeline given to him. The ICE prosecutor had a problem with me staying in the US because of my criminal history but again Chris submitted another motion and got it granted by the IJ and while all of this was going on I was in custody and every time I spoke to Chris he told me “Just hang in there bud you will be out of the facility soon” and one day my deportation officer comes and said the immigration judge have released me and at that time I knew Chris had done his magic. Since dealing with the Immigration courts are very complex and difficult Chris has always provided exceptional service. All I can say is he is honest, a hard worker, and exceptional at what he does if you were to hire him that would be the best decision you would ever make in your life. I’m in the US right now because of him and will always be thankful to him.

Hey,

I just wanted to share with you that TWO innocent projects are looking at my case.

I have written people for years and got absolutely no response. However, because of my website, I tell them I want to "Show" them something rather than tell them my story.

I think this is making the difference. Basically, I want to THANK YOU for setting this site up for me.

You are the one person who has actually helped me. You most likely started the ball to rolling in order for me to get justice. You did a great job on it and I am thankful.

Thanks Again,
Joseph Dickey
